Serving as a voice for the St. John's River and its tributaries

WHO WE ARE:

The Stewards of the St. John's River is a coalition of citizens organized to protect the quality of the St. Johns River and its tributaries. Since its formation in 1990, the Stewards have focused on elevating the public's awareness of the health and water quality of this beautiful natural resource that flows northward 310 miles beginning in Central Florida and ending in the Atlantic Ocean near Jacksonville.

OUR MISSION AND PURPOSE:

Stewards are a not-for-profit 501(C)(3) Corporation dedicated to serving as a voice for the St. Johns River. Our primary purpose is to restore, preserve, and protect the waters of the St. Johns River and its tributaries for current and future generations.

  OUR GOALS:

1) To protect the remaining resources of the St. Johns River.
2) To promote and assist in restoration of the St. Johns River.
3) To elevate public awareness of water quality and the responsible use of our
natural resources.
4) To recruit volunteers to assist in promoting sound management practices of our natural resources, providing them with educational materials and supplemental data; and to establish a network for reporting violations to proper authorities.
5) To expand the strength and effectiveness of our organization.
